Nouvelle Vague? Follow Mr Spoon!

Well I am not one to blindly follow trends but tomorrow I have a trendy DO to attend. It's the Habia Hair Show and detail is all when mixing with fashionista beauty industry types. So, naturally I've been on the search for a nice pale turquoise nail varnish, a la Chanel's Nouvelle Vague. A cross between a pastel blue and a mint green, some warmth, no pearliness. Some research led me to China Glaze's For Audrey, only from the USA, and Nail Inc's Haymarket, available here but nearly a tenner. Even Barry M, yhough close, with their shade "pure turquoise", missed the colour by shades. Then I discovered Collection 2000 Button Moon. £1.79 and the exact right colour. Perfect perfect perfect. The pot from Boots and the pot from Superdrug are oddly two different shades. One slightly bluer. For comparison I also got Boots 17 Mint Choc Chip, a warm ice blue. Gorgeous. Close! But no banana. Follow Mr Spoon. £16 for a mail varnish? Nooooo. No need.

It been a while!

The last time we did Grilla Styling we re-visited Westfield for its fabulous restaurants and shops all under one roof. The thing about Westfield is that it could either be A. the worst retail cluster-fuck ever, B. intensely commercially boring or C. just a great place to do unashamed retail therapy, and we reckon it depends on the day of the week. Go when its quiet, huh!?
Heres a picture of Miryam having her birthday, now let me dig out those last Grilla photos and the packs of cards! Watch this space!
